PRIVACY STATEMENT CUSTOMER AND SUPPLIER RECORDS THIELCO STEEL SOLUTIONS GROUP
Your privacy matters to us. In this privacy statement, we will explain which of your personal data is collected by Thielco Steel Solutions Group through our interaction with you and how we use that data.
Collection and use of personal data from customers, suppliers and other clients
We would like to make you aware of the fact that we will collect and use the personal data you disclose to us because we need it in order to be able to conclude and perform any future agreement with you. This applies to our (potential) customers and to parties from whom we buy goods and/or services.
If you are a (potential) customer, we will use your data in order to be able to send you an offer, to assess which specifications or wishes certain goods or services need to comply with, to deliver goods or to undertake work for you, to invoice you and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about the performance aspects of the agreement.
If you are a (potential) supplier or another client, your personal data is also required for the conclusion and performance of the agreement. In the case of procurement, this is required in order to be able to let you know which specifications or wishes certain goods or services have to comply with in our opinion, to send a request for an offer or to place an order with you, to pay your invoices and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about other aspects of the agreement.
You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with personal data or with insufficient personal data, it may be possible that we will not be able to perform the aforementioned work.
Disclosure to third parties
In connection with the performance of any future agreement with you, we may have to disclose your personal data to parties who supply us with parts, materials and products or who undertake work on our instruction. We also use external server space for the storage of (parts of) out sales and purchasing records, which your personal data forms a part of. For that reason, your personal data is submitted to the provider of server space. We also use Microsoft Office and the associated storage options for e-mails and other files. As we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal data is also forwarded to the provider of that service.
If you place orders with us on a regular basis, we will store and use the personal data disclosed by you in order to personally notify you by e-mail in the future to tell you about our existing and new products and services and to make you an offer for that, if appropriate. When we use your personal data for this purpose, we have a justified interest, namely selling our products and services. Every time we send you an advertising mailing, you can tell us you no longer wish to receive them. See the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mailing.
If you are a non-returning customer, we will only send you advertising messages if you have given your prior consent.
Retention period personal data.
If you have asked us for an offer but did not become a customer, we will delete your details no later than one year after our last contact. If we received an offer from you but did not become your customer, we will also delete your details no later than one year after our last contact. If you did become a customer of us or if we became a customer of you, we will keep your personal data for seven years after the end of the financial year during which our agreement with you is performed in full. This seven-year period coincides with the period during which we are obliged to retain our records for the tax authorities. After the expiry of this period, we will delete your personal data.
You have the right to ask us to inspect your personal data. If there is any reason to do so, you can also ask us to supplement your personal data or to have inaccuracies corrected. You also have the right to ask us to delete your personal data or to restrict the use thereof. You can send us a notice of objection with regard to the collection and use of your data or submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. On a closing note, you can ask us to obtain your personal data or to transfer this data to another party.
