The first installation is a fully automated galvanizing production line with a zinc bath measuring 9000 x 1500 x 3000 mm. It is truly revolutionary: the installation works at different temperatures and is equipped with a fully automated extractor system.
The result is simply beautiful, the way the zinc flows from the steel, resulting in high-quality galvanization. The fully housed galvanizing production line is a huge improvement in health and safety for our employees. The second installation was recently commissioned after more than 1.5 years of construction and development. This installation is one of a kind and is the result of close collaboration between a German and Italian mechanical engineer and a Dutch robot developer. This process enables M30 to M120 sized bolts to be centrifugally galvanized in a fully robot-controlled process. The bolts are entirely free from hydrogen embrittlement.
In contrast to the hot-dip centrifugal galvanizing process, which consists of putting small products into drums, the robots pick up the products one by one and place them in the custom made racks for each product. This hanging method, whereby the products cannot touch each other during the whole production process, guarantees the highest quality with no imperfections. Moreover, screw threads no longer have to be rolled after they’ve been galvanized.
